Noyan Sevuktekin, like many current and former CSL students, thrived in an environment that encourages interdisciplinary work and collaboration. Now that he’s graduating, Noyan is looking forward to a bright future with Apple! Noyan Sevüktekin

  1. What are your plans after graduation?

I took a job at Apple as HID Algorithm Engineer. The human interface design (HID) team develops solutions such as gestures, motions, and so on for all the apple products. The team I signed up for is doing signal processing

  1. How will your experiences at CSL help you in this career?

CSL encourages the enthusiasm for constantly searching for the better, which is a philosophy that resonates well with me. In addition, I am fluent in collaborating with other researchers thanks to the research environment in CSL.

  1. What was your favorite part of your time at CSL?

My first office from years ago (2013-mid 2016) was fantastic. It was fun discussing ideas with students from different research groups. Specifically, Mehmet, Meghana, Amir, and I discussed problems all the time. Sadly, the office structure changed later.

  1. What advice do you have for current students?

Job searching is a long process and most of it is grunt work with a dash of luck. I recommend paying close attention to the interview process that a company lays in front of their candidates because chances are their work environment is quite similar to their interview process.

  1. What is your home department?

ECE

  1. Anything else?

It has been a privilege to be a part of CSL. I wish everyone best of luck in their research and their future.
