The LLVM Compiler Infrastructure

Vikram Adve’s group released the LLVM compiler infrastructure they had developed. The LLVM project has since grown to encompass a large family of compilers, languages, and tools, including the Swift programming language, which is now used for most modern iOS applications. LLVM solutions are used for virtually all software on all of Apple’s devices—including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and wearables—and on NVIDIA GPUs, many Android devices, and Google services, among many other applications.
