See the Future of Computing White Paper
The Future of Computing Symposium organized by the Coordinated Science Laboratory (CSL) brings together researchers from diverse areas to discuss and brainstorm on new computing technologies that have the potential to transform our society. The symposium features a line-up of outstanding speakers, both internal and external.
This event marks the 70th anniversary of CSL’s founding and celebrates its long and illustrious legacy in pioneering technologies including the invention of flat-panel plasma displays, the first computer-assisted instructional program, electrostatic vacuum gyroscope, the first binaural hearing aid, and many others that have created the world we live in today.
This event will imagine the future of various computing disciplines and applications, including:
- Computing beyond traditional approaches
- Robotics and autonomy
- AI for cyber-physical systems
- Security and privacy
- Immersive technologies
See below for the tentative agenda.
