Dr. Nigel Bosch
Dr. Nigel Bosch is an Assistant Professor in the School of Information Sciences and the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign. His work primarily concerns machine learning, algorithmic fairness, and human-centered computing, particularly in educational contexts. He is especially curious about how students’ backgrounds and identities relate to learning outcomes in computer-based learning environments and to their experiences in those environments. He holds a PhD in computer science from the University of Notre Dame, and was a postdoctoral researcher at NCSA for two years prior to joining the iSchool.
